What to Expect

Step 1:

Step 2:

  • The first meeting will be an interview that takes about 90 minutes. This is a time for us to get to know you, your family, and your needs, and concerns. We will also discuss your expectations and how the process will continue. During this meeting we will also determine the tests we will use and review what your testing day(s) will look like.

  • The next step in the process is the actual evaluation. For children, this will be two or three testing sessions that are typically 3-4 hours in length. Adults can usually be completed in one testing session. During this time we will be using paper/pencil tests, hands-on manipulatives, and conversational questions. Don’t worry, no needles!

Step 3:

  • After your evaluation has been completed, you’ll meet with us again to discuss your results. We will review all the information we have gathered, explain how we came to our conclusion, and provide a diagnosis (if appropriate).

  • Two weeks after your feedback session you will receive the final copy of your report, with recommendations and a summary of our findings.
